Re: Are the Half-Sky maps available in fits format?

Hello,

You can create images (and/or event files) for the individual cameras from the combined file. You can use the eSASS task evtool by activating the option telid to select the telescope (check here: https://erosita.mpe.mpg.de/dr1/eSASS4DR ... l_doc.html).

Cheers,
Miriam

Re: "Rank mismatch" error

Dear Chi,

eSASS4EDR does not work for Ubuntu v20.4 and above. You should use the Docker installation instead. See here: https://erosita.mpe.mpg.de/edr/DataAnal ... stall.html

Best wishes,

Miriam

Re: demo: is a directory Failed to write "demo"

Dear Danielle, As shown in the FAQ section of the EDR website (https://erosita.mpe.mpg.de/edr/FAQ/), the ERROR2 message is harmless. Yes, it appears a lot when executing the eSASS tasks but it is not dangerous. There is no need to create another message in the forum if your problem is regarding this...

Re: How to barycenter eROSITA data

Hello Matteo, eSASS, for the time being, does not offer a task or option to barycenter the data. You can use HEASoft instead. Here is how you can do it: - You need an orbit file, which you can download from here: https://erosita.mpe.mpg.de/edr/eROSITAObservations/OrbitFiles/ - You need to split your...

Re: Retrieve module pointing

Dear Matteo, You are looking at the header keywords in the CORRATT extensions, right? The RA_PNT and DEC_PNT header keywords are the scheduled pointing direction. If you open the CORRATT extensions, you will have a column for RA and a column for DEC of where each telescope module was pointing. Best ...

Re: Retrieve module pointing

Dear Matteo,

The information you are looking for can be found in the CORRATTx extensions of the event file. This will give you the pointing direction for each telescope module (TM).

Best wishes,

Re: erbackmap/FGET_BOXLIST: **ERROR2** column EXT not found

Hello Yuan, You can find in the FAQ section (https://erosita.mpe.mpg.de/edr/FAQ/) the ERROR2 topic. You are correct in your assessment that the EXT column does not exist, but this error does not affect the output of running erbackmap. And his error should not have killed the task, can you share more...

Re: Ermldet in the Docker

Dear Matteo,

Could you be more specific? For example, which data set are you using? The different options you are using in ermldet and the error you get when the task fails.

Best wishes,
Miriam

Re: Demo

Dear Matteo,

You might be trying to write a large file inside the container, and therefore you are running out of virtual disk - this may look like a memory error too. We suggest mounting a directory where you can write the output files of the demo.

Let us know if this works.

Best wishes,
Miriam
