Re: PSF Kernels for Convolution
Hi, I would like to plot a PSF radial profile in the 0.2--2.3 keV range and compare it with the profile of a real source. However, I have some questions: Firstly, there are many different types of PSF files in the caldb, and I am not sure which one to choose. Secondly, what is the pixel scale of the...

Dear Alain,
I'm sorry for not replying promptly. I've been away for a few days.
Thank you very much for your advice. After updating the version of heasoft, I have successfully installed eSASS.
Cheers,
Dawei

eSASS4DR1 installation error:libape not found (should be part of headas)
Hi everyone, I'm encountering an issue while trying to install eSASS4DR1 on my M1 MacBook Pro. When I entered the following code: ./configure --with-caldb=/Users/irrational/eSASS_cal_DR1/caldb4DR1/ --with-healpix=/Users/irrational/eSASS_cal_DR1/eSASS4DR1/external/Healpix_3.50 --with-headas=$HEADAS -...

How to stacking the source images or other products?
Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if I should ask this question in evtool area.
I just want to know how to do stacking of source images and other source products(e.g. spectral) using esass.
If anyone give me some suggestions, I would be very grateful.
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Dawei

Hello everyone When I tried to extract the spectra of a source, I defined a region to extract background spectra. But the shell reported errors. My commands are: srctool eventfiles="fm00_300007_020_EventList_c001.fits" srccoord="icrs;129.70069,4.12628" exttype="POINT" t...

Hi everyone,
I want to extract the spectrum of one galaxy. But I don't know 'exttype=point or extend'.
If anyone could tell me, I'll appreciate for that. Thank you!
