Hello everyone,
As pointed by Brunner+(2021): due to an unrecognized malfunction of the camera electronics, 28% of the TM6 data of eFEDS field I and 48% and 43% of the TM5 and TM6 data, respectively, of eFEDS field II could not be used, resulting in a reduced exposure depth in the affected areas of up to ∼30%.
So, how to remove the events caused by such error ? Which input parameter of evtool should be set to remove these bad events ?
How to remove the bad events ?
Re: How to remove the bad events ?
Such events do not exist in the calibrated event files. The corresponding exposure time sections are excluded from the good time intervals. So no additional treatment about them is needed. If you plot the image and the exposure map, you can see in such regions the image is relatively darker and the exposure map is shallower.

Oh, I have checked this.
Nearly half of the #300008 region have shallower exposure time, thanks!
